Making DVD Fest

Well, Digital Foundations is over, and this is the end result. I 'm very happy with it, though I'm sad I couldn't use more of the footage I shot. But, c'est la vie, had to keep it short, and I like what came out of it. If you don't know, DVD Fest is an annual student film festival that happens at Carleton College. This year there was some controversy over whether it would be happening or not, and this short documentary talks with the new DVD Fest head Scott Donaldson on the subject. Hope you enjoy it! The film is in .mov format and is around 100 mb. Sorry about the size!

Love and Little Nourse

Well, ok, there's not too much love, but there is the Little Nourse Theater. This is another project for my CAMS class. We had to shoot footage of a building or space, and use 8-10 shots to compile a short vignette about the area. This is the first time I've shot my own film and uploaded it to the computer. While the process was rather time consuming and frustrating, I'm really happy with the the result, despite the low-light conditions. Once again, the music is courtesy of Soundtrack Pro.

The Great Voiceover Robbery

Hi! Sorry this has taken so long to post. After our initial cut of the bank robbery footage, we were asked to make a second cut with an original voice over. This is the result. I wish there was more footage of Blue-Shirt Guy that I could have used, but there is only so much we had to work with. The music is a sound bed from Soundtrack Pro.

What's the hold up?

This is a link to the first project for the audio and editing portion of my CAMS class. We were given a large number of shots from a bank robbery. We were asked to cut them together into a "straight cut" of the hold up, that was no longer than 90 seconds. This is what came out of that. The file can be found here, and is in .m4v format, so it will play in iTunes, at least. I'll post a quicktime version soon.

Dorms & Dragons

This is a photo-essay I prepared in January of 2008. It centers around a group of college students who come together to play Dungeons & Dragons. Click here to view the essay.

The Rogue Gallery

Welcome to the Rogue Gallery. This will be home of my creative projects for my Digital Foundations class, and will hopefully be home to my future pieces as well. Enjoy!
